Alyssa Campbell

Biography

Alyssa Campbell serves as the Associate General Counsel for Labor, Employment and Immigration at Syracuse University, where she provides strategic legal counsel on a broad range of complex labor and employment law matters. Her practice includes advising University leaders and stakeholders on employee relations, compliance, equal opportunity and state and federal anti-discrimination laws and policies, workplace accommodations, employment-based immigration and the development of best practices for employee processes.

A key focus of Alyssa’s work involves providing guidance on the legal considerations associated with faculty and staff hiring and retention initiatives, tenure and promotion processes as well as supporting the creation and implementation of policies and programs that advance those efforts. Before assuming her current role, Alyssa served as the University’s Director of Equal Opportunity and Inclusion, managing matters related to the University’s Affirmative Action Plan and Non-Discrimination, Anti-Harassment, and Equal Opportunity policies and Staff and Faculty Title IX process.

Alyssa, a Syracuse native, earned her J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
